Thevar Magan, a 1992 blockbuster Thevar Magan touched upon several issues like castes, illiteracy and untouchability, on Monday the actor said that the sequel will speak against all castes and would deal with it.
‘I named my next as Thevar Magan 2 for the audience to connect with it. However, the title will not be Thevar Magan 2. We will have a different title. I am against caste and religion, and so will this film’, he added.
Thevar Magan was India’s official entry at Academy awards for Best Foreign Language Film for the year 1992. Kamal Haasan Sakthivel, the youngest son of the village head Periya Thevar played by the thespian Sivaji Ganesan Meanwhile, Kamal’s Indian 2 will go on floors this December and will release in 2020.
