Vada Chennai scenes cut :- Vada Chennai got released a few days ago. It spoke about gang war in North Chennai.
Directed by Vettrimaran, the movie featured Dhanush, Andrea, Aishwarya Rajesh, Ameer, Samuthirakani, Daniel Balaji, Kishore among others. Music is by Santosh Narayanan.
Though it was critically acclaimed, there were protests from few claiming that the movie has some bad words and shown North Chennai in bad light.
There were request to remove lovemaking scene between Ameer and Andrea on boat, which fishermen consider sacred. Vetrimaran agreed to remove them.
The objectionable lovemaking scene has been removed today. Vettrimaaran said that he has removed the scene and submitted the new copy to CBFC which will take ten days to process.
A press note also said that a couple of fresh scenes between Ameer and Andrea have been added.
Remember the movie was appreciated by Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap.
Vettrimaran even released a video a couple of days asking for an apology. He stated that he never meant to hurt anybody’s sentiment.
