Tik Tik Tik Movie Review

June 22, 2018

All eyes were on Tik Tik Tik as it was touted to be country's first space film. The movie brought together Shakthi Soundararajan and Jayam Ravi after a huge hit in Miruthan, the first zombie movie in Kollywood.

Three cheers to the director for taking a daring step to speak about space which is certainly new to Tamil cinema.

Tik Tik Tik Review

Kudos to Jayam Ravi for doing a different film. It is a new concept and Shakthi Soundararajan has taken all pains to make sure it relates itself to common masses. Sci fi films are challenge for many and hardly a few passed the muster.

Shakthi does it with style here. The background setting especially the art makes it an engrossing watch. One is transformed to a new world and the space is pictured well before our eyes. Only a watch on big screen will prove it better.

Nivetha Pethuraj plays the heroine. The cast includes Jayaprakash, Rethika Arjunan and Ramesh Thilak. Aarav, son of Jayam Ravi makes his debut and one should call it a super show by him.

Tik Tik Tik Tamil Review

The movie is about India’s Defense Space Division (DSD) and their biggest challenge is to foil an asteroid attack. If the disaster happens, it would destroy Tamilnadu maximum. The only way to escape is by destroying the large asteroid with a powerful missile before it can enter Earth.

There is a twist in the tale. The missile to be used for the mission is in a Chinese space ship. The onus falls on father-son (with Ravi’s adorable son Aarav making his debut) to achieve all.

Three cheers to Jayam Ravi. Possibly one of the difficult films that he has ever worked. His movement has to be backed up science and gravitational force. It has come good and he deserves appreciation for every bit of his dedication.

There is anger, agony and emotion that need to be shown by him. He does a wonderful act. Aarav chips in with best in his debut. Nivetha is not far behind. She suits the role well. And Arjunan and ramesh Thilak tickle your funny bone.

The biggest strength of the movie is D Imman's musical. Being his 100th, he has given his best. The BGM does live up to theme. The movie has twists and turns. Backed by a string technical team, the movie ends up a real good watch.

Verdict : Tik Tik Tik - Space, pace
