The newly-wed Karthi Sivakumar is now shooting for his forthcoming venture ‘Saguni’, which he says will be his first film on a political theme.
'Saguni directed by debutant Shankar Dayal is about an innocent youngster who comes to the city from a village. How he gets dragged into politics and how his life undergoes a complete change is the story,' he says.
He however says that the film is not very serious. It is so lively and the movie could be enjoyed by all sections of the audience irrespective of age and other factors.'
Pranitha, who made her debut in Kollywood with ‘Udhayan’ is the heroine. ‘Saguni’ is simultaneously made in Telugu as ‘Shakuni’ and the film is expected to hit the screens by January next year, that is for Pongal.
