Pa Paandi tamil Movie Review

Yesteryear actress Revathy dons a pivotal role. Power Paandi (Rajkiran), a popular stunt choreographer in the 1980s, lives with his son Raghavan (Prasanna). His life revolves around his grandchildren.

Though cared well by his son, his heart yearns for freedom. He wants to be himself in his old age.

He feels like a parrot in a golden cage. At one point, he sets out of the house in search of his dream.

A flashback reveals that in his teenage, Pa Paandi (played by Dhanush) falls for Poonthendral (Madonna Sebastian).

Due to a turn of events they separate. Paandi sets out on a road journey in search of his first crush. When he manages to find her, all things get rosy again in his life.

Rajkiran dazzles in the lead. His body language and dialogue delivery and child-like enthusiasm in playing the character deserve special mention.

Prasanna plays a tricky role. His emotional outburst towards the climax is good. Chaya Singh as Prasanna's wife does a decent act. Veteran Revathy is good in a cameo.

Sean Roldon's music reminds one of Ilayaraja. Velraj's cinematography is bright and beautiful.

All said, Pa Paandi is a brisk and entertaining show.

Verdict : Pa Paandi - Touchy tale
