Nimir Movie English Review

Nimir unfolds in a simple and innocent village that is on the Tamilnadu and Kerala border. A feel-good emotional drama, the movie speaks a youngster who has a jinxed romance. But he has a purpose to live. The young photographer lives to take revenge of a rugged man.

Three cheers to Udhaynidhi. He has chosen a good script that demands natural expression from him. He is subdued and subtle in his act.

Nimir Movie Tamil Review

Veteran filmmaker Mahendran, who plays Udhay's father, does a commendable job while MS Baskar, Samuthirakani and Parvathy Nair create the necessary impact. Karunakaran does his part well in a brief role.

Udhay plays a small-town photographer. He decides not to wear flip-flops until he has avenged Samudhirakani, after he unwittingly found himself in the middle of a street argument.

Udhay's own life goes through a transformation in the interim. The girl he loved decides to take the safe route of marriage. Then comes Parvathy Nair in his life.

The girl happens to be the sister of the man, whom Udhay wants to take revenge. It is a revenge saga without fisticuffs or gangsters flexing their muscles. It is simple and dialogue-drive, Nimir is a feel-good entertainer with entertaining moments. A melon-drama well made.

Verdict : Nimir - Splendid show
