Sasikumar is back with another rural tale. This time dwells on sister-brother bonding. And he teams up with his favourite filmmaker Muthiah, with whom he gave a huge hit in Kutty Puli.

What is common between both is that they have a flair for rustic themes. They make it count with the shrewd happening of events loaded with emotion, sentiment and family values.

Kodiveeran is no different. The movie stars Poorna, Sanusha and Mahima as heroines. Pasupathi is back with a bang as baddie in Kodiveeran.

The movie has hit headlines and assumes greater significance as co-producer of the movie Ashok Kumar blaming financier Madurai Anbu of harassing kandhuvatti committed suicide.

The movie is high on brother-sister bonding and is loaded with religious sentiments.

It has powerful dialogues and screenplay is quite good. Three cheers to Sasikumar, who plays to the gallery. As a doting brother, adorable lover and a man on revenge mode, he does pull his act well.

Kodiveeran Movie Tamil Review

Pasupathy is back to do what he does the best. Delivers aplomb. His dialogue delivery and body language are top class. Sanusha as Sasikumar's sister is impressive. Mahima does play her part well.

She is cute and bubbly and has enough scope to perform. Her scenes with Sasikumar is amazing. Bala Saravanan's comedy is hilarious.

The movie begins with an emotional flashback and picks up pace towards interval. Dwelling on family bonding, it gathers steam post intreval. Poorna plays a role that is the highlight of the movie. Her performance is solid and strong. It adds more to the film.

Her character has been writing well. Whatmore she does a bold role where she tonsures her head for a cause.

Kathir's cinematography is bright and beautiful. The different colour tones to capture the rural landscape is good. Raghunanthan's background score is excellent. The music adds more to the film. The songs are catchy and sets the mood.

The revenge drama and emotional family tale makes up the movie. Kodiveeran is a typical Sasikumar diet.

It aims at wooing women audience. All said, it would end up appeasing people of all age-groups. Though the story is cliched, screenplay by Muthiah makes up the difference.
