Kamal Haasan may enter politics ahead of Rajinikanth. If reports are to be believed, the actor is planning to float his own political party in the next few weeks. And he is ready to test the waters by contesting in the November local body elections.

He is very active on Twitter and minces no words when condemning the infighting and the functions of the government. The national award winning actor-director much recently alleged that there is rampant corruption in Tamilnadu, drawing the ire of several State Ministers.


Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and his cabinet colleagues had hit out at the actor for his remarks and dared him to substantiate his charges following which he had asked his fans to lodge complaints about corruption through social media.

Taking part in a wedding function recently in Coimbatore, Kamal Haasan, said, ‘People should not consider it as just a wedding function but an inauguration function (for politics)'

Urging his fans to continue questioning the government, he said, 'By taking money for votes, people had let in thieves and had erred in doing so. It was time for political change and the struggle for change should continue'.
