Kamal anguished over Kathua gang rape incident

Expressing deep anguish over the Kathua rape and murder incident, actor turned politician and Makkal Needhi Maiyam Founder Kamal Hassan on Friday said he felt 'angry' as a man, father and as citizen for 'failing' the girl.

Kamal tweeted 'Does it have 2 b ur own daughter fr u 2 understand? '

'She could have been mine', he said, adding, 'I feel angry as a man, father and a citizen for failing the minor girl', Kamal said.

'I am sorry my child...we did not make this country safe enough fr you. I will fight for justice at least for future kids like you'', he said.

'V mourn u and won’t forget u', the actor said.

The girl was missing from her home at Kathua in Jammu and Kashmir on January 10 and her body was found a week later.
