Baahubali 2 Review

What makes the sequel more interesting is that it comes with an answer for the question that is in the heart of everyone movie-lover – Why Kattappa Killed Baahubali? And the answer given by Rajamouli is unexpected, emotional and engaging.

Grand is the word by Rajamouli. Anything and everything associated with the movie is rich, colourful and grand. Three cheers to the whole team for they have managed to exceed all expectations and quality stuff is rendered by them.

Baahubali 2 is the best from Rajamouli. Here he has ensured more emotions and drama. The first part just introduced the characters. The second instalment showcases the emotions and drama on a better and bigger scale. It has more drama between the characters. Interesting backstories are narrated in the sequel.

The huge Magizhmadhi Empire, the Kattappa and the army, Sivakami Devi and the rest are retained in their purest form making it click. Rajamouli with his team ensured the movie matches the world standard and has enough in it to challenge Western world.

Baahubali 2 Movie Tamil Review

Prabhas as Mahendra Baahubali and Amarendra Baahubali, Rana Dagubatti as Pallavalthevan, Anushka as Maharani Devasena, Tamannah as Avanthika, Ramya Krishnan as as Sivagami, Sathyaraj as Kattappa and Nasser as Pingalathevar give exactly what was expected form them. They go a notch higher in the sequel for they know what the characters played by them would behave and act.

Sivagami appoints Amarendra Baahubali as king. Amarendra goes around the kingdom to meet his people. He meets Devasena (Anushka) falls in love with her. Love blossoms. Pallavalthevan comes up with a plan that ensures a debacle for Amarendra.

Rest of the story is all about the internal politics of palace and how Mahendra Baahubali completes the unfinished business.

Prabha's hard work and Rana's intensity is visible in every frame. Anushka has a lot to do in the sequel for her as Devasena have a story to be told.

The sequel speaks about Mahendra Baahubali and his achievements, the sacrifices that he made and the romance with Devasena. Above all it speaks about Sivakumai's intensions and what happens after that. Eventually it is a showdown between Amarendra Baabhubali and Pallathevan.

Music by Keeravani is highlight. The title song Bale Bale is picking of the lot. Cinematography by K K Senthilkumar is the major boost. The grand sets and huge fight sequences are captured well.

Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao's editing is razor sharp. The hundreds of CG experts, motion capture of fight sequence deserve special mention. Call it a marvel. Call it a special. Baahubali is a great work by Rajamouli. Three cheers to the whole crew.

A super show that is technically superior.
